Under the Red Hood.
I noticed that the costumes they changed during the movie when Jason was shown made use of the TIm Drake costume. It doesn’t bother me so much that I’m going to hate the movie, but I feel that the costume they made use of lost its meaning in the film. I’m a TIm Drake fan and to take that away sorta annoyed me for a sec.
This is the Jason Todd we saw when he was little and I understand that as he grows he would change his costume since a teen running around in his underwear is ridiculous.
The original cover is this
and they turned it into this
But that is Tim’s costume exactly.
Tim began his journey as Robin with this
It had elements of both Dick and Jason’s costume but altered which they could have done for Jason in the movie.
After the death of Superboy happened Tim decided to use red on his costume since it was Conner’s colors, looking like this.
It individualized him as a different Robin as well by taking away the green.
Even Young Justice made sure to keep the costume as close to this as possible.
But I guess it is understandable since Jason would become RED Hood. Still I felt that the comics make sure to have story behind certain heroes’ costumes.
It still doesn’t take away that Under The Red Hood to me is the best animated Batman film to date, and I don’t think any other movie could take that away unless they make an animated Batman:Hush or Court of Owls movie!!
